Subject: [Bluez-users] PAN connection to a handphone
Date: Fri, 01 Dec 2006 21:14:03 +0800 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <BAY117-F9D2CC50F1BBB92B421116BFDA0@phx.gbl> (raw)
Hi,
I would like to connect to the internet through my handphone over Bluetooth
in my Linux Computer. I have tried that using the Windows OS in which i just
have to connect using the Network Access Profile without dialing to the
network instead of using the Dial Up Networking.
Does the PAN profile mention in Bluez serves the same purpose as the Network
Access Profile so that i could access the internet through the phone after
successfully connecting my phone and computer in a PAN. Or do i have to do
in through PPP and do the necessary dialling up after settiing up the phone
as a modem.
I am using Fedora Core 5 and Sony Ericssion k800i which is GPRS enabled.
Many Thanks
Regards
Kelvin
