Now I decided to update my system: I have downloaded the 2.4.26 kernel from kernel.org, patched the kernel (2.4.26-mh1) and additionally installed: bluez-libs-2.6, bluez-utils-2.6 and bluez-pan-1.1 When I plugged in the USB dongle everything worked nicely and "hcitool dev" reports the address so bluetooth should be working. However, when I unplug the dongle the kernel freezes instantly and I am also not able to obtain any hint from /var/log/messages and stuff. When I additionally install the outdated bluez-kernel-2.3 package the kernel does not freeze... What did I do wrong, can anybody give me a hint? This is beyond my capabilities. I am using SuSE 9.0 on a Toshiba Satellite. _________________________________________________________________ MSN Messenger - sehen, welche Freunde online sind! http://www.msn.de/messenger Jetzt kostenlos downloaden und mitmachen! ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: Oracle 10g Get certified on the hottest thing ever to hit the market...
