Hi:

I am a newbie to linus, probably thats why i am having problems. Anyway i downloaded the rpms and run them  to install the bluez software, i have moved to the root and checked in etc/bluetooth, but the directory is empty. I need bluez to run the btscanner program which only runs under linux.

I tried the comand hciconfig -a and it shows nothing, unfortunately your website does not have a step by step installation manual or something similar. The device i am using is a Anycom bt 220 usb, linux redhat, kernel 2.4.

Could you please tell me in a detailed way whats remaining for me to get working the device, i downloaded and have run the frollowing rpm's :

bluefw, hcidump, libs, pan, sdp, and utils, all of them in their latest version, my guess is that probably i have to had some configuration file or something similar to get up and running the device, i will appreciate a lot any detailed help you could give me.

Thanks a lot

Jose Vazquez
