Subject: [Bluez-users] does anyone knows of such a bluetooth device ?

Hi,

I am looking for a bluetooth serial adapter, or more precisely a half of
a serial cable replacement, that works with a usual BT adapter on a
PC/Laptop.

Details:
I have to connect from a computer to several RS232 serial ports of several
equipment for configuring it. Could be routers/switches/PBX or anything
that has a serial interface for management.
Now, I want to use Bluetooth for configuring these devices, but not using
the regular serial cable replacements, because usually they are symmetric,
and require 2 BT devices, one at the managed equipment, and the other at
the PC, and which are already paired one with the other.
I already have a laptop with integrated bluetooth, so I only need some
adapters that implements the Serial Profile, and that do conversion from
bluetooth to RS232.
Encryption support would be nice.
Powering the bluetooth serial adapter device from the managed serial port
is also a plus.
A class 2 device (10 meters) is enough.

If anybody knows of such a device, or something close to it, I'd
appreciate some pointers to it.

Thanks,
Paul Ionescu
