Ext4 is still not even readable under any Windows OS, which does pose a problem with many common use cases. Maybe the current in-kernel btrfs code can be combined with some of the work the Ext2Fsd project has done to leverage the advantage of having at least some cross-platform accessibility for BTRFS as early on as possible? Surely i'm not the only one who'd greatly appreciate such an endeavor... best regards, marcel.
