Thanks for the hints -- I do have a backup, but so far I was
unsuccessful in creating from scratch, but I see what you mean. I am
using btrfsprogs 4.3.1 and kernel 4.1.12-gentoo. I did do the convert
on a file system where I have backups -- all of them actually -- but
some of them I have to do offline, and one of my concerns is getting
recent enough versions of kernel and programs, so I don't run into
trouble. I will definitely look at the page, I have read some of that,
but I didn't see that particular page.
