I have just read from lwn about a new implementation of threads for linux http://lwn.net/Articles/10465/ It says this new implementation is going to make its way into glibc. Anyone has more knowledge about it? It also says its a 1:1 model. I dont remember what are the cons of 1:1 to M:1 and M:N Anyone can refresh my mind? I remember M:N was better because it solved some problems of 1:1 and M:1 at some cost, but i dont remember which.
