I am coming from a Macintosh background. I've been a Macintosh programmer for over 10 years. I'm really interested in delving into Linux programming. I have a couple of books on Linux programming, but I was hoping someone could answer a couple of questions. On the Mac, Apple maintains a developers section that documents all of the calls. Is there an equivalent in Linux? I realize that there are a lot of libraries and packages and that not everything is going to be on one site, but if there are resources for looking up the calls for a particular library, it would really be helpful. Is there any sort of online tutorial or extensive How-To on Linux programming available anywhere? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Tom Williams
