Thanks for the clarification!

I somehow assumed the patch has been:


-      depends on CIFS && INFINIBAND
+      depends on CIFS=m || INFINIBAND=y

instead of:
       depends on CIFS && INFINIBAND
+      depends on CIFS=m || INFINIBAND=y
