I'd like to deploy dtc outside our kernel but have an IT department that
wants a formally versioned release. The last such release was 1.2.0 back in
July 2008 and it was missing a whole bunch of features that are required
for work we're doing. Anything we can do to make a 1.2.1 or 1.3.0 tag
get assigned?

There hasn't been any plans to do so, but if you need it then we can
probably do so.

Jon, how do you feel about cutting a release?

Happy to do so. I'll try to pull one together in the
next couple days or so.

Thanks, I appreciate it. I've been using the current tip for quite a while
without any problems; I'd guess that would make a good place for a release.

Because we have a pretty thorough testsuite, the current tip is nearly
always suitable for release. That's one of the reasons we frequently
forget to get around to doing a formal release.

I am out of sorts Saturday, but I will try to do it Sunday.
I have one "tested, it works" confirmation so far. Others?

I'm positing of a 1.3.0 release number for it.

Guys,

I have signed and pushed out a tagged Version 1.3.0 release
of the Device Tree Compiler. Find it at git.jdl.com.

If there are issues with it, please let me know!

Thanks,

Thanks, Jon.

Can someone update libfdt in the U-Boot, please? I need support for
the ePAPR-compliant "phandle" property.

I don't know what the process is for getting libfdt officially updated
in U-boot.
