Why don't you set the matching order in the driver the way you want it
to be, i.e.:

	{ .compatible = "fsl,imx6q-uart", ... },
	{ .compatible = "fsl,imx21-uart", ... },
	{ .compatible = "fsl,imx1-uart", ... },
