So instantiate the watchdog with hearbeat first. And if this wrong, use default timeout.
:
if (watchdog_init_timeout(&wdt->wdt_device, heartbeat, dev))
	wdt->wdt_device.timeout = STARFIVE_WDT_DEFAULT_TIME;
