ABI documentation for the NXP secure-enclave driver. User-space library using this driver: - i.MX Secure Enclave library: -- URL: https://github.com/nxp-imx/imx-secure-enclave.git, - i.MX Secure Middle-Ware: -- URL: https://github.com/nxp-imx/imx-smw.git Following checks are performed on the incoming msg-header, to block exchanging invalid arbitrary commands: - maximum allowed words, - check if command-tag & response-tag are valid - version, - command id validation check, to allow limited base-line API(s) and restrict following: - exchanging power management commands. - reset requests. - BBSM configuration requests. - re-initializing the FW. - RNG init - CAAM resource release management - SE's internal memory management. from user-space. Signed-off-by: Pankaj Gupta --- Changes from v44 to v45: 1. se_close_session(): wrong API version in session-close header. se_fill_cmd_msg_hdr() takes a bool is_base_api as its 5th argument. The call was passing priv->if_defs->fw_api_ver (a non-zero integer), which evaluates to true, so the header was stamped with base_api_ver instead of fw_api_ver. se_val_rsp_hdr_n_status() then rejected the firmware response (version mismatch), se_close_session() returned an error, and the session handle was never recorded as closed, leaking it in firmware. Pass the literal false instead. 2. se_if_probe(): resource leak when devm_mutex_init fails. devm_mutex_init() for load_fw->load_fw_lock was called before devm_add_action_or_reset(). A failure returned early without the cleanup action registered, leaking the kzalloc'd priv struct and the get_device() reference. Moving devm_add_action_or_reset first would invert the devm LIFO order (mutex destroyed before cleanup runs). Replace devm_mutex_init with plain mutex_init (infallible) and add mutex_destroy(&priv->load_fw.load_fw_lock) in se_if_priv_release(). 3. se_if_fops_read(): use-after-free of dev_ctx->devname. The scoped_cond_guard block exits (dropping fops_lock) before ele_msg_rcv() blocks. A concurrent cleanup_dev_ctx() can free dev_ctx->devname under fops_lock while ele_msg_rcv() is still running, and the error path's dev_err() then dereferences the freed pointer. Snapshot devname once into devname_snap[] while fops_lock is held, and use devname_snap in both the dev_dbg and the dev_err calls that follow.
