Summary: BUG: soft lockup - CPU#3 stuck for 61s
Product: File System
Version: 2.5
Kernel Version: 2.6.32.7
Platform: All
OS/Version: Linux
Tree: Mainline
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P1
Component: ext4
AssignedTo: fs_ext4@kernel-bugs.osdl.org
ReportedBy: franco@fugro-fsi.com.au
Regression: No
We recently deployed 9 NFS servers running Linux kernel 2.6.32.7. Each server
exports 4 13TB EXT4 filesystems. During the first 24 hous of testing using
simple sequential reads and writes, 2 of the 9 systems hung with "BUG: soft
lockup - CPU#3 stuck for 61s".
We downgraded the kernel version to 2.6.32.2 and have not had the same problem
after a further 24 hours of testing.
Message file attached.
