Hi Theodore Tso, I agree that this is more a support request for crappy hardware. If you don't want to support workarounds to get that stupid external HDD case working it is okay for me, too. It is not a big thing to buy a new one. But doesn't the kernel already contain a lot of workarounds for crappy hardware. So is it really such a big thing to add another one?
