mga-2.5.65 from ftp://platan.vc.cvut.cz/pub/linux/matrox-latest/
is working well for 1920x1440 framebuffer console on matrox G400.
It applies to 2.5.65-mm2 with a single 19 line offset.
matroxfb-2.5.59 and matroxfb-2.5.63 worked great too.
