I've just been notified that the s3c2410 framebuffer driver has been
submitted by Arnaud. I have a question about what path this will
take to getting into the mainline kernel, and how long it will be.

(I would have replied to the original thread, but have only just
 found and joined this list)

New drivers go to the mm tree first. I just sent the patch to Andrew.

It's early in the cycle, so it should get to linux-2.6.14.

Tony

PS: If this driver is already well tested, we can always tell Andrew
to get it to mainline quicker.

I'm reasonably happy with it, I've been asking Arnaud to get it
moving since late in 2.6.12 (iirc)

thanks,
