Hello all,

Is it possible to implement a fremebuffer device without console
support? All I want is to access the graphics card buffer memory to
display some graphics.
Can I find source code example for this?

Yes. Take a look at the latest 2.6.0-testX kernels.

Disable CONFIG_VT_CONSOLE, and the console messages will no longer be printed
to the frame buffer. You still have a console though, i.e. you can still print
to /dev/ttyX if you want.

If you don't want to provide console drawing operations, just set
display->dispsw to &dispsw_dummy.
