Agreed. :)
I am not an expert in DSS. I just wanted to raise my concern.

As mentioned in the cover letter, we get this error only if 2/2 is
applied and 1/2 is not applied.
I tested this by applying 2/2 on v3.0-rc4 and using omap2plus_defconfig.
