This is a first step at introducing per-bdi flusher threads. We should
have no change in behaviour, although sb_has_dirty_inodes() is now
ridiculously expensive, as there's no easy way to answer that question.
Not a huge problem, since it'll be deleted in subsequent patches.

This gets rid of pdflush for bdi writeout and kupdated style cleaning.
This is an experiment to see if we get better writeout behaviour with
per-bdi flushing. Some initial tests look pretty encouraging. A sample
ffsb workload that does random writes to files is about 8% faster here
on a simple SATA drive during the benchmark phase. File layout also seems
a LOT more smooth in vmstat:

So apart from seemingly behaving better for buffered writeout, this also
allows us to potentially have more than one bdi thread flushing out data.
This may be useful for NUMA type setups.
A 10 disk test with btrfs performs 26% faster with per-bdi flushing. Other
tests pending. mmap heavy writing also improves considerably.
A separate thread is added to sync the super blocks. In the long term,
adding sync_supers_bdi() functionality could get rid of this thread again.

Now that the inodes actually hang off the backing device it's just
another parameter to limit the amount of writeback done.

Btw, some ordering in the patch series seems odd, e.g. you have
most of the high level flushing code above generic_sync_wb_inodes
which makes reading fs-writeback.c rather inconvenient. And also
leads to having two forward declarations for generic_sync_wb_inodes
beeing added inside the file.

I didn't spot anything today, but I didn't have that many files in
flight (lots of cpus, though). But yes, something to keep an eye on.

Build on the bdi_writeback support by allowing registration of
more than 1 flusher thread. File systems can call bdi_add_flusher_task(bdi)
to add more flusher threads to the device. If they do so, they must also
provide a super_operations function to return the suitable bdi_writeback
struct from any given inode.

Please drop this for now. It adds a lot of unused and untestede code
including a dead on arrival inode operation.
Once we are going to add actual multiple flusher threads we can revise
it. But I don't think for example that the operation in it's current
form makese too much sense - the most logical way to add multiple
flushers per filesystems would be having multiple bdis of some sort.

OK, will drop the multi thread support, I'll retain the worker items
though.

Sure, it was more of a proof-of-concept, since I think it'll be
important at higher buffered output rates with a single thread becoming
a bottle neck. But I have no issues with dropping it for now, it'll be
easy enough to re-introduce.
I'll post an updated patch series later tonight/tomorrow with the
changes.

Since we do lazy create of default writeback tasks for a bdi, we can
allow sleepy exit if it has been completely idle for 5 minutes.

Originally, MAX_WRITEBACK_PAGES was hard-coded to 1024 because of a
concern of not holding I_SYNC for too long. (At least, that was the
comment previously.) This doesn't make sense now because the only
time we wait for I_SYNC is if we are calling sync or fsync, and in
that case we need to write out all of the data anyway. Previously
there may have been other code paths that waited on I_SYNC, but not
any more.
According to Christoph, the current writeback size is way too small,
and XFS had a hack that bumped out nr_to_write to four times the value
sent by the VM to be able to saturate medium-sized RAID arrays. This
value was also problematic for ext4 as well, as it caused large files
to be come interleaved on disk by in 8 megabyte chunks (we bumped up
the nr_to_write by a factor of two).
So, in this patch, we make the MAX_WRITEBACK_PAGES a tunable, and
change the default to be 32768 blocks.
