And please an analysis which takes into= =20 account that some programs might need to be adapted to take advantage o= f=20 d_type or non-optional data from the proposed statlite. Plus, how often are these commands really used on such filesystems? I'= d=20 hope that chown -R or so is a once in a lifetime thing on such=20 filesystems and not worth optimizing for. I'd suggest until such data is provided the readdirplus plans are put o= n=20 hold. statlite I have no problems with if the semantics is changed as = I=20 explained. --=20 =E2=9E=A7 Ulrich Drepper =E2=9E=A7 Red Hat, Inc. =E2=9E=A7 444 Castro S= t =E2=9E=A7 Mountain View, CA =E2=9D=96 - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-fsdevel= " in the body of a message to majordomo@vger.kernel.org More majordomo info at http://vger.kernel.org/majordomo-info.html
