Isn't "pushurl" for that? I have:

[remote "origin"]
        url = git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/tomba/linux.git
        pushurl = gitolite.kernel.org:/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/tomba/linux.git
        fetch = +refs/heads/*:refs/remotes/origin/*
