vxfs (and practically all other VERITAS products) has been successfully
ported to Linux many years ago, at least it was already stable and working
when I joined VERITAS in 2000.
Yes, I agree with Andi that Deepak should contact VERITAS sales
(www.veritas.com) and investigate what shape and form he wants vxfs for
Linux in, i.e. in what bundle etc. And then explore if it is cheaper to
buy an officially supported fully featured product or to sponsor Christoph
to enhance freevxfs (but not to the point of being useful and safe, of
course, because that is impossible given the fact that vxfs is extremely
complicated and it is impossible to make freevxfs fully featured without
referring to the proprietary source code).
