Subject: Does soundmodem work at 300 baud?
Date: Thu, 17 Nov 2005 13:04:33 +1000 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <000101c5eb1d$d0599d40$682de80a@HOME> (raw)
Hello,
Once again I've had the urge to try to persuade soundmodem to receive HF
packet at 300 baud and once again without success.
Theses are the parameters that I've experimented with:
Bits 300
Freq 0 1600
Freq 1 1800 (I've tried reversing these two without any noticeable effect)
There is never any DCD indication under "diagnostics" in the soundmodem
configurator. I have had 1200 baud packet working in the past but I don't
remember if the DCD indicator lit or not. Now that I'm in a remote area I
can't do any comparisons between 300 and 1200 baud anyway.
So, should soundmodem works at 300 baud on HF frequencies?
Regards,
Phil.
