A query for G-land.... I am considering a return to maateur radio but am
only interested in digi modes...Many years ago I ran a packet station on 2m
and 70cm but never ventured onto hf...I am now retired and considering an
hf radio but do not know as yet what to buy.....I have looked at the ft817 and
the new qrp Icom also the cheaper hf icom...The main difference between the
Icom and the 817 seems to be the 817 covers 2m and 70 cm....Is there much
activity on these bands in the uk on the digi modes and what comments on
my proposed choice of radios ??
