 I wish software developers and web sites would post or link to
a 'linux software map' or 'system requirements' on the first page.
:-|

 I am assuming that any software package whose name starts with an
"x" or "X" requires a GUI, specifically Xwindows.

 Some applications have required a specific
GUI, but it is not mentioned early on. :-|
