I have an old 8-bit soundcard that I would like to use with the soundmodem to receive a 1200bps cluster. From the docs and from googling the archives (and the 'Net at large), I haven't been able to find any comment either for or against such cards. Has anyone here tried the soundmodem with 8-bits-per-sample soundcards? Can such old cards do 1200? What about 9600?
