Subject: [PATCH net-next 5/9] fm10k: replace deprecated strncpy with strscpy
Date: Tue, 17 Oct 2023 12:04:07 -0700	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <20231017190411.2199743-6-jacob.e.keller@intel.com> (raw)
In-Reply-To: <20231017190411.2199743-1-jacob.e.keller@intel.com>

From: Justin Stitt <justinstitt@google.com>

`strncpy` is deprecated for use on NUL-terminated destination strings
[1] and as such we should prefer more robust and less ambiguous string
interfaces.

A suitable replacement is `strscpy` [2] due to the fact that it
guarantees NUL-termination on the destination buffer without
unnecessarily NUL-padding.

Other implementations of .*get_drvinfo also use strscpy so this patch
brings fm10k_get_drvinfo in line as well:
