Hi,
I wonder: are there patches for device mapper to
show devices in sysfs? I don't see dev files related
to device mapper in 2.6.4-rc1-bk1.
Andreas

You don't see the "normal" block entries in /sys/block for dm created
block devices?
thanks,

oops, sorry. I need to check again.
but: the current library looks for /dev/mapper/control,
the 2.6.4-rc1-bk1 kernel plus udev without rules file
create /dev/device-mapper (the old name).
maybe the kernel should be updated to have the right default?
but an entry in the rule file can fix it, too.
btw: I got udev in initrd plus device mapper plus dm-crypt
working and I'm quite impressed!
Next stop: adding hotpluggin, openct and opensc for smart
card support. :-)
