Question by an newbie to hotplug:

How ist it possible to upload firmware from the prism-Project (isl3890)
on to a "Harris Semiconductor D-Links DWL-g650 A1 (rev 1)" WLAN-Card.

It's on an embedded System with uclibc and busybox; So no real bash
available...

Tanx
Hermann

You don't need a "real bash". Is dash (here dynamically linked to
glibc) small enough?

-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 80184 Mar 18 11:12 /bin/dash

The alternative is to write your own C program which will upload the
firmware and integrate it in diethotplug.

Hi Hermann,

the firmware.agent are only two echo and one cp calls. It is very easy
to implement this in C.

Marcel
