hi
i couldn't suscribe to the list due to downtime of
http://lists.udev.org/, please mail back directly.
my question is how i may execute a shell script upon plugin in a device
AFTER the nodes/symlinks are created? i achieved my goal using the
PROGRAM option, specifying a shell script which created a (1 minute
delay) "at" job which executes my desired shell script. i don't like
waiting a minute - i want to execute the script instantly upon pluging
in my device. any ideas? of course i need not wait for creating the
symlink - but i WANT my script compatible, i.e. independent of the order
i attach devices, hence i must use the symlink.
thanks for any help
regards
blinkeye

This site has nothing to to do with _this_ udev. :)

Look at the udev man page for the /etc/dev.d/* logic.
Good luck,
Kay
