hello,

(i still don't know how to subscribe to this list so please mail back
directly. thanks!).

i wrote a (bash) script which is being executed as soon as i plug in my
external usb harddisk. the problem is that this script is executed AGAIN
when i unplug the harddisk. how may i prevent that from happening?

another question i do have is one i couldn't answer with manuals i've
read: obviously i don't need to actually mount a device to cp files on
it with udev anymore - first i don't see how this is possible and second
i'm not sure how i should umount the usb device - simply unplug it? is
this safe?

thanks for any help, hint, links and suggestions.

regards
blinkeye
