Without any command on Linux (just pressing HotSync button in HotSync application on Sony Cli=E9 with Debian/woody and my own vanilla kernel 2.4.23 -- the only patch on kernel is swsusp, which should be IMHO unrelated to USB), I get the attached piece of /var/log/messages. When trying you command pilot-xfer -p /dev/ttyUSB1 -l gives exactly nothing (``Please press the HotSync button now =2E..'', using pilot-xfer 0.11.8, until the connection times out). The only interesting thing I see in syslog is a note about missing kernel or user mode driver visor (which is not true, there is visor.o kernel module duly installed in /lib/modules/2.4.23/kernel/drivers/usb/serial/visor.o). Any ideas how to fix it? Should I do something brutal to HotPlug configuration? What?
