setting device permissions on connect

Hi there,

I have browsed the web and read the code and documentation, and
still, I can't figure out how to do the following:

Upon connection of a device, say vendor 0xdead and product 0xbeef,
I would like to chgrp and chmod the corresponding node in
/proc/bus/usb/*/*. How do I do this?

The permissions of these files are controlled by mount options to usbfs.
Unfortunaly for 2.6, these mount options do not work properly:
	http://bugme.osdl.org/show_bug.cgi?id\x1418

But I can chmod them from the command line. Thus I am simply
wondering whether there's a hook in hotplug to be able to do this
automatically on connection, based on the vendor/product ID combo.
