udev.init.lfs problem: udev 13 ?hangs? when entering runlevel 3

I copied the udev.init.lfs into /etc/rc.d/init.d/udev and I have S04udev and
K96udev in all of my /etc/rc.d/rc?.d's. Now I think udev hangs at startup,
because it just prints something like this:
~entering runlevel 3
Creating device nodes in...

and after that nothing else happens (no [ OK ] or [FAILED] or...), except
little hard-drive activity once in a while. Also when I CtrlAltDel the
computer prints, right before reboot, lots of cannot remove device node
(/udev/*), read-only filesystem or similar messages.
The non-lfs startup script works well (I get to login and stuff).
I built LFS-5.0-pre2 and I tried to run linux 2.6.1,udev 013,hotplug 2004...
