multiple instance support

multiple instance support

[SUDHARSAN]

hi ,
    I want to support multiple instances of the device
in my module.The module is working fine with single
instance of the device.I had a script in
/etc/hotplug/usb directory with handlers for add and
remove events.But its called only for the insertion of
the first instance of the device.how to proceed for
further device instances???.I am using 2.4.20-8 of the
kernel,hotplug version 1.7

What module?
What kind of device?
What kind of bus is the device on?

This is a driver specific issue, and not a hotplug issue, I suggest
posting a copy of your driver to the proper mailing list asking for help
there (netdev, linux-usb-devel, lkml, etc.)

      The device is attached to the USB bus.
      i just wanted to know whether the hotplug agent
will call the script in /etc/hotplug/usb/ with $ACTION
as add/remove for every instance of the device
arrival.For me it calls script for the first instance
and not for further instances.
