I've tried to compile with USE_KLIBC=true,
I got a lot of link errors like :
:undefinced reference to '__errno_location'
What's them problem?

Did you do a 'make spotless' first?
Also, what kernel version are you building klibc against? Everything
works fine for me here.

I have the same problem. I untarred udev-027, set klibc=true in
makefile.
Then make spotless followed by make in the klibc directory. Does not
build.

Am I missing some configuration steps. I am trying to build the
multipath
Tools and need klibc support for it.

Thanks,

Atul

Regarding kernel version, I have installed 2.6.5 kernel headers in
/usr/include/linux directory. So, its system wide.

That's not a smart thing to do. That directory should be what your
glibc provides and is built against, not the kernel that you are using.
Be prepared for a lot of packages to not build properly now.

Anyway, how are you telling klibc where your kernel source tree is at
when you build it?

thanks,

greg k-h

I was just running make and not specifying path to kernel sources.

Ok, seems the problem is I make first with glibc and them make with klibc without make spotless first.

now I can make with
Make KERNEL_DIR=/usr/src/linux-2.6.7rc2 USE_KLIBC=true

Seems the extras/scsi_id and extras/multipath-tools can not build with 2.6.7rc2.
lots of identity about scsi not found.
but with linux-2.6.6, all can build except multipath-tools/multipathd,
seems there shall be a libdevmapper installed first.

Then I suggest you look at the section about KERNEL_DIR in the README
file :)

thanks,

Great. I got klibc and multipath tools to build correctly but the driver in 2.6.6 kernel is not complete or partial
As multipathd complains.
