multipath should also use the prefix.

I don't think so, as it makes it harder to keep trees in sync.
It would be nice to have a klibc build environment (maybe klibc is already
setup that way, I haven't looked closely), instead of carrying klibc in
multiple places. So you could build multiple and perhaps separate tools,
and then install them under their own root (i.e. initramfs) directory.
