Subject: wait_for_sysfs update
Date: Wed, 20 Oct 2004 11:40:08 +0000 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <200410201340.09250.simone.crippa@gmx.net> (raw)
Hello,
I plugged in into my PC a USB stick:
Vendor: Kingston Model: DataTraveler2.0 Rev: 4.70
Type: Direct-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 02
Which gets recognized by the scsi hotplug agent, but then this message shows
up in the syslog:
Oct 20 12:51:43 <hostname> wait_for_sysfs[7166]: error: wait_for_sysfs needs
an update to handle the device '/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.7/usb4/4-2'
properly, please report to <linux-hotplug-devel@lists.sourceforge.net>
Oct 20 12:51:43 <hostname> wait_for_sysfs[7168]: error: wait_for_sysfs needs
an update to handle the device
'/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.7/usb4/4-2/4-2:1.0' properly, please report
to <linux-hotplug-devel@lists.sourceforge.net>
I googled around a bit, without finding anything relevant, so I followed the
recommendation!
btw, I have a Debian system (testing) with udev 0.034-1, hotplug
0.0.20040329-1 and libsysfs1 1.1.0-1 . Don't know what is relevant, if you
need more info, mail me back.
Greatings, Simone
