Subject: ABBAHOME USB keyboard doesn't work
Date: Fri, 26 Nov 2004 13:05:58 +0000 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <20041126130558.C14962@comlab.ox.ac.uk> (raw)
I'm reporting this because the message below told me to. There
didn't seem to be much in the archives about it (though I think
there was one report). The system is Fedora Core 3 with kernel
2.6.9-1.681_FC3 and the keyboard is a Belkin USB keyboard bearing
the markings "F8E206ukBLK-USB" and "KB-6868". It simply refuses to
work; when it is plugged in the following messages appear:
kernel: usb 3-1: new low speed USB device using address 2
kernel: usb 3-1: control timeout on ep0in
wait_for_sysfs[3225]: either wait_for_sysfs (udev 039) needs
an update to handle the device
'/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:02.1/usb3/3-1/3-1:1.0' properly (no bus
device link) or the sysfs-support of your device's driver needs to be
fixed, please report to <linux-hotplug-devel@lists.sourceforge.net>
kernel: usb 3-1: control timeout on ep0in
hal.hotplug[3228]: timout(10000 ms) waiting for /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:02.1/usb3/3-1/3-1:1.0
hald[2447]: Timed out waiting for hotplug event 297. Rebasing to 298
kernel: usb 3-1: control timeout on ep0in
last message repeated 2 times
kernel: drivers/usb/input/hid-core.c: timeout initializing reports
kernel:
hal.hotplug[3285]: DEVPATH is not set
kernel: input: USB HID v1.10 Keyboard [ABBAHOME USB Keyboard] on usb-0000:00:02.1-1
hald[2447]: Timed out waiting for hotplug event 299. Rebasing to 299
Keyboard works fine if plugged into the PS/2 port via an appropriate
adaptor, so this isn't an urgent problem.
