Subject: unknown bus 'pcmcia'
Date: Sat, 25 Jun 2005 08:52:12 +0000	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <20050625085211.GA25026@chrome.sixears.co.uk> (raw)

Greetings,

I picked the following out of my syslog:

Jun 25 08:49:56 incubus wait_for_sysfs[5209]: error: unknown bus, please report to <linux-hotplug-devel@lists.sourceforge.net> 'pcmcia'Jun 25 08:49:56 incubus wait_for_sysfs[5209]: either wait_for_sysfs (udev 045) needs an update to handle the device '/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:04.1/1.0' properly (unknown bus) or the sysfs-support of your device's driver needs to be fixed, please report to <linux-hotplug-devel@lists.sourceforge.net>

Obviously, it says to mail this list. This is the pertinent info that I can
think of:

Hardware - Dell Inspiron 7000.
Kernel - 2.6.11.10
pcmcia-cs - 3.2.8

The pcmcia stuff *is* working, I'm using a pcmcia 10/100 ethernet card quite
happily.

If I can provide any more information, or do anything to be rid of the
message, please let me know.

Thanks,
Mx
