hi iam running fedora core 3. i have a smart link
modem(internal;) i installed the driver which i
downloaded from smartlink.com.  installation had no
errors. also in my KPPP i tried MODEM QUERY and it
also worked perfectly
But the problem is iam not able to connect with KPPP.
KPPP dis appears while the status is in INITIALIZING
MODEM... and when i checked for messages in the
Messages file present in /log i found the followinfg
error

Jul  6 22:52:30 localhost kernel: slamr: slamr0 is
SL1900 card.
Jul  6 22:52:35 localhost wait_for_sysfs[4260]: either
wait_for_sysfs (udev 039) needs an update to handle
the device '/class/slamr/slamr0' properly (no device
symlink) or the sysfs-support of your device's driver
needs to be fixed, please report to

Update your udev package and this message will go away. But it will
probaly not help with the failure. You may need to ask the driver author
for help.
