But read carefully the udev RELEASE-NOTES, cause a lot of stuff changed with that release and hotplug.d/ and dev.d/ is no longer handled by default. Anyway, you should better install a recent release if you depend on features of a newer kernel. The kernel and the installed software has too may dependencies for safely doing an update like this.
