I'm sorry you feel this way, is there any specific problems you are having with it that we can help you out with? Any specific version of udev and the kernel that is causing you problems? And here's a list of distros that I know ship with udev: RHEL 4 Fedora Core (3, 4, 5) SLES 9 SuSE 10.0 SuSE 10.1 betas SLES 10 betas SLED 10 betas Mandrake/Mandriva Slackware Debian Gentoo CentOS 4 Linux from Scratch And I'm sure the other people can provide more examples of distros that I'm not aware of at the moment. Also note that _every_ one of the above distros picked up udev on their own as it solves problems that they had with a static /dev. None of the udev developers asked them to do it. thanks, greg k-h ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by xPML, a groundbreaking scripting language that extends applications into web and mobile media.
