I think the driver is GPL'ed: http://www.linux-usb-daq.co.
uk/opensource2/ and you have also access to the firmware. I can
contact
the authors of usbdux when needed, we bought several and use them
with
laptopts.

I can't remember the URL of the email thread (on www.comedi.org), but
I think that Bernd Porr, author of usbdux, appreciate any help to
integrate the usbdux driver with udev.

My appologies, you are correct, I was thinking of another recently
mentioned DAC type device that was discussed here on the list. I'll go
poke around in the driver and see if I can see anything "odd".

thanks,

Ok, in looking at the code, the comedi layer is going to have to be
modified to support sysfs and the driver model properly in order for
this device to work with udev in a sane manner.

I suggest working with the developers of that code to do this. Also ask
them why their code isn't in the main kernel.org tree, it should be...

thanks,

greg k-h
