Dear All,

I am new to writting the UDEV rules. I have one query below:

- What is the maximum length of the device name that can be set using UDEV
rules?

I tried creating the device directly under /dev/directory. So the device
file that could be created was 255 characters(kernel specs I guess
i.e.NAME_MAX)

But I tried to create the device by giving sub-directories under /dev/ as
: /dev/aaa/bbb/ccc/...../abc. I could create only upto 237 or so.

I am not very sure of UDEV specifications. Can anybody please help me out?
Or atleast tell me any document that I should refer in this regards.

Many thanks in advance.

Regards,
Jayjit
