Hello I work with the Deaf and I am trying to get webcam plug n play
support for Ubuntu. We use Ubuntu as our main OS and are training many
of our clients on it. Some on irc suggested I contact you guys and see
what could be done. The biggest complaint I get is that webcams don't
work. Any way you can help would be great. I am hoping to have that
support in future versions of Ubuntu.
Thanks,

What specific webcam does not work? There are zillions of them, so you
might want to contact the video-for-linux developers, they are the ones
working on adding support to the kernel for a wide range of them.
However I am currently working on adding screen-reader support to the
kernel, so if you have questions about that, feel free to contact me
off-list for that.
thanks,

Screen reader support seems to be on target so keep it up:)
Do you happen to know the contact info for them?
