the debian packages are missing the udev rules for them.
and it's quite time to put them in.

mdadm will have them in the forthcoming 2.7.6-2. I used Ubuntu's
rules. Maybe those can serve as a baseline for LVM etc?

(I still maintain that "by-id" does not mean "by-bustype-and-id")

I failed to reproduce this for lack of time and am now on the road
again without the ability to swap my laptop's drive.

All this makes sense, and it's starting to dawn on me that in fact,
the bus type is needed. Thanks for your patience and sorry to be so
stubborn^W purist about it.
