Hallo,
my problem: any USB-sticks are unusable because they are not mounted and in
/var/log/messages are found many read-errors from that sticks.
What means the following in the output from lsusb -v:
"can't get device qualifier: Numerical result out of range"
and what can Ido?
Many thanks

Odd. Can you provide the full kernel log for when you plug the device
in? Do the following as root from a console:
dmesg -c # this clears out the log
plug the device in
dmesg > my_log
then email us the my_log file.
thanks,

Hi,
my usb-stick doesn't work not yet! The kernel is 2.6.31.12-0.2-default x86_64
from openSUSE and I think there is a problem with the usb-subsystem.
A linux livesystem works properly with this usb-stick on the same computer, so
I think the hardware is ok.
Please help me to prevent lost of data.
Thank You
Winfried Höna
