Helo,
since two years ago, something happened to udev that
make my Laptop to hang: it is an old Elitegroup with C3 VIA
processor. Linux boots now only if I give "nohotplug" as
an option to the kernel. Otherwise it hangs immediately after
the udev message. The old udev (more than 2 years old) and
kernel was ok.
   What can be the problem?

   thanks in advance

        Genaldo

Your kernel is loading a module that causes your machine to crash. It's
not a udev issue.

good luck,
